REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR PC
If you need my help to troubleshoot any computer problem you are having, it would be helpful if you would share your computer screen with me. It will let me see what you are seeing and to step in to help if I can. Call me (702-219-3541) before step 1, when you get to step 4, or anywhere in between. Follow these steps to allow my access to your computer:
1. SETUP: (a) Make sure you have a good Internet connection, (b) close out any programs or web pages that are unrelated to the call, and (c) open the program(s) or web page(s) that you want help with.
2. DOWNLOAD THE CONNECTION SOFTWARE. Click below on the “Download Host” button for either Windows or Mac, depending on your computer type. This will initiate the download of a small hosting program file to your computer. (You should be able to locate the downloaded program in your default download folder. On most web browsers, you can click [ctrl-J] to find downloaded files. If there may be future sessions, you may want to save the downloaded program in a different location and possibly create a shortcut to it.)
Error? If the link you need does not work, point your web browser to https://attended.remotepc.com and use the appropriate link on that page.
3. RUN THE CONNECTION SOFTWARE. Double-click on the name of the the downloaded program to run it.
A. If you are asked if you wish to allow the program to change your computer, please allow that.
B. When the program runs, it will generate a nine-digit number.
4. INITIATE MY CONNECTION. Give me the nine-digit code while we are talking on the phone. I will use that number to gain temporary access to your computer for one session. (Once the session has ended, I will no longer be able to access your computer unless you run the program again and provide a new nine-digit session code.)
