00:00:01 This video relates to the PAC Tool and how to schedule closures. We're going to go into the PAC Tool, and we're going to look at your VSA planning, and we're going to go into your view. I'm going to pick on Phoenix for this video.
00:00:27 you. Let's also pick on the Phoenix Temple. Now, to schedule an operations closure, we
00:00:42 go under the operations tab. I'm using the 2025 line. And then we're going past the
00:00:57 have already been updated for 2025 for the top three. If yours show closures for
00:01:05 other years you can click on the name of a a closure and then adjust the date by
00:01:17 clicking on the calendar icon here and then clicking save and close. I'm not
00:01:27 add a holiday you can click on this plus and create a new closure date. Now this
00:01:36 one shows cleaning closures and I'm going to recommend that you not use this
00:01:42 for cleaning closures unless there's no VSA's because if you add dates like this
00:01:49 for cleaning closures you can assign a VSA to that date because this is going
00:01:55 to cancel any VSA's that would normally be on those dates.
00:02:00 Now, these are all from 2023.
00:02:03 They're not going to affect 2025 if we wanted to select all these, and then go up to the
00:02:09 top here to the three dot menu here and click Delete Pack Closure, then those could go away.
00:02:16 and so you can get rid of any unwanted closures where VSA's are not going to be
00:02:26 allowed. So I'm thinking you want to do that. I'm going to let the Rawls do that
00:02:32 for Phoenix. So I'm going to continue without making any changes here. There's
00:02:38 a temptation to want to put cleaning closures in there. For one thing, you
00:02:44 You cannot, when you're scheduling any kind of a closure, this system requires that you
00:02:52 put each date individually in there.
00:02:55 You cannot do a date range.
00:02:58 So if you do have a holiday weekend or something that's not in there, you're going to have
00:03:03 to put each day that the temple's closed in that section.
00:03:07 Now, in terms of cleaning closures, you do want VSA's on those days, and those are just
00:03:14 scheduled like anything else.
00:03:15 You go into the operation.
00:03:18 I've got non-ordance 2025, and I make sure that there's a shift set up.
00:03:25 I make sure that the tasks are identified, and you can split these however you want, and
00:03:31 then have different tasks.
00:03:34 for example let's say that laundry on when the temple is open is Tuesday through
00:03:43 Saturday but when the temple is closed for cleaning maybe we don't maybe the
00:03:47 operation doesn't need laundry every day so you might create a task that
00:03:53 says close closure laundry or laundry dash closure or whatever that you want
00:03:58 that's descriptive and just put Tuesday and Thursday or whatever that you might
00:04:04 use when you create a work shift down here and then you can have the temple
00:04:11 closure of cleanings. You can schedule them as you deem appropriate and you can
00:04:17 on these schedules you can certainly put beginning and end dates. Now here we've
00:04:26 got the laundry going all the way through. And the way this is set up is that there would
00:04:32 be no difference in the laundry assignment when the temple is open for patrons when it's
00:04:40 closed for cleaning. And so if that needs to be adjusted, you might need to create a different
00:04:46 task for when it's closed for cleaning. And then you would split this laundry assignment
00:04:53 into different groups so you might have a let's say the cleaning closures are in
00:05:00 May and November you you might have a a laundry that's a closure laundry firm
00:05:09 in May and then another one in November that would that would use this the
00:05:15 laundry like at the Tuesday Thursday option that I discussed but those are
00:05:21 There are all things that you need to work out with the operation manager.
00:05:24 When I say operation manager, that can be the temple recorder or it can be the temple facilities
00:05:30 manager or however the temporary recorder wants to handle.
00:05:36 So the cleaning closures are not scheduled under the no VSA's time because you're going
00:05:46 to have VSA's.
00:05:48 They are scheduled here as work shifts in this process and as always if you have questions
00:05:56 call me.
