00:00:00 This video is for operation managers. The first thing you want to do is go into this service missionary management system, which is surfacemissionary.churchofJesusChrist.org. And if you're not already logged in, you'll need to log in. If you haven't already done so, an operation manager should first edit their user profile. And it will show their display name and the management system.
00:00:30 operation that they're in, and you can change your display name. A lot of times
00:00:35 these will default to just initials or part name. You may want to edit that. If
00:00:42 you want to edit it, you click that and then after you're done, you click the
00:00:46 checkmark mark. And then on the phone numbers, they actually like a plus 1 on
00:00:54 on there, and then you can click Save, and now that will show up here in the
00:01:06 Contact Info. It will only show in the Contact Info if you accepted the user
00:01:13 agreement. So you have to read the user agreement basically saying that your
00:01:18 information is going to be displayed on the church websites. Once you've done
00:01:25 that then you can save it. I've already done that here and so that's going to show up on the
00:01:33 operation page. I'm going to click on operation. Most operation managers are only going to see
00:01:38 one operation that they can get involved with here. And so on this, this is the operation details
00:01:47 details page and this shows a primary contact and a general contract to edit the general
00:01:59 contract.
00:02:00 You click on edit details and you put in the address and different things and here's
00:02:06 the general operation contact information here and you can even add a description of
00:02:12 the operation here.
00:02:13 and if you make any changes, you click Save. I'm not making any changes. Then you can click
00:02:22 on the User Management tab. The User Management tab shows any other users that have been added,
00:02:32 but we don't have any here. Now, so if you want to add users, that's not done on this
00:02:38 page. You add user by going back to settings, clicking users, and then you
00:02:45 click on this add user button. For the purpose of this video, I am going to add
00:02:52 my wife as a user here, and it will look her up. It will say that she's already
00:03:01 in the system and because she is a support advisor, but that doesn't stop
00:03:06 you from from adding somebody if they already have another role and then I'm
00:03:11 going to say I'm going to add responsibilities for this operation and I'm
00:03:16 going to check the operation that I'm the operation manager for and then I'm
00:03:22 going to give her a role as an operation delegated approver. Now if I
00:03:27 to add other responsibilities to her, I can do that. But right now she is an
00:03:39 operation delegated approver and it shows right here in addition to her
00:03:45 calling and then I'm going to say done. And now I'm going to go back to the
00:03:53 operations page. Now this shows users for this operation and then I'm going to go
00:04:00 back to the operations page for that operation and then I'm going to user
00:04:06 management and then I'm going to say that I want the operation delegated
00:04:12 approver and I can have her be an operation support too and that gives
00:04:18 gives her a view-only operation, but if I make her a delegated approver and check this
00:04:24 box to say that she can receive notifications, then that will do that.
00:04:32 And I can add additional responsibilities to a user that's been added if I do it down
00:04:41 here, but we're not going to do that here.
00:04:45 We're just we're not going to add any user responsibility. Now if I wanted her to
00:04:54 display as a contact, I can do that. And I can also have her receive notifications.
00:05:04 And those system there's no save button here because that's done automatically. And so we go
00:05:11 back to the operation details and now Sharon Rushforce shows as an operation
00:05:17 delegated approver and so she can approve things for the operation in
00:05:26 addition to the operation manager and now if you ever decided that you wanted
00:05:33 wanted to remove somebody, there's a little trash can icon, and you can delete that person as a user management.
00:05:46 So that's, in a nutshell, how an operation manager accepts the user agreement by going to user profile, making any edit changes to the name, phone number,
00:05:57 and then also going into users and adding a user if you need to and then
00:06:04 going into the operations page and and editing details for the operation using
00:06:13 the edit operation button there and that's the end of this video
