Elder Layne Rushforth and Sister Sharon Rushforth are the Senior Missionary Coordinators for the Las Vegas Group of the North America Southwest Area of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  The Las Vegas Group is comprised of 31 stakes and includes a corner of Arizona and a corner of Utah.

The Senior Missionary Coordinators:

• Facilitate mission calls for senior Church members who wish to serve as Senior Missionaries (full-time, living away from home) or as Senior Service Missionaries (part-time, living at home).
• Facilitate extensions, releases, and a positive experience for Senior Service Missionaries.
• Assist Operation Managers develop an effective workforce for Church Operations, such as Addiction Recovery Services, Mission Offices, Deseret Industries, the Bishops' Storehouse, FamilySearch, BYU-Pathway, Temple Offices, etc.
• Help stake and ward leaders carry out operation assignments and understand service missionary responsibilities.
• Act as Ambassadors for the Senior Missionary program.
